His research interest is to study regional and urban geography and geopolitical relations. His representative books are Satsuma’s Invasion of the Ryukyu Kingdom and Changes in the Geopolitical Structure of East Asia, A Review of Studies on Human Origins of the Ryukyu Islands, etc.
