Vice chairman of Basic Education Curriculum Expert Committee of Ministry of Education of the PRC, core member of Geography Curriculum Standard Formulation and Revision Group of China. He directed projects supported by Humanistic and Social Science Foundation of Ministry of Education of the PRC, special fund of China, etc, published several books including Geography Curriculum and Teaching Theory and Geography Literacy Education in Middle Schools, and over 60 academic papers.
